David Corbin is a quadriplegic who has died twice and lived to write about it. A father, husband, fine-art photographer, painter, and writer; he graduated from SUNY Brockport with a BS in English literature. He has just completed his first book, a memoir about the ninety-eight nights he spent in the hospital after breaking his neck in a car accident at age twenty. “I have loved reading and writing from a very early age. After suffering years of flashbacks, anxiety and other symptoms of PTSD, I started writing about my experiences concerning dying, getting hit by a bus, and recovering in the hospital. Writing was extraordinarily healing for me. I hope that my words and my artwork will inspire others to heal from their traumatic experiences as well.”
